Hydrotherapy at Coastal Physiotherapy
Prior to commencing hydrotherapy an initial assessment is required in the clinic. This enables the Physiotherapist to determine your medical history and assess your strength and joint movement. With this information the Physiotherapist can provide you with the most appropriate exercises and trace your progress over time.
Hydrotherapy is performed in small groups under the guidance and supervision of one of our Physiotherapy team. Exercises are performed in shallow water so swimming ability is not important, although you must be confident in water. Exercises can be tailored to specific areas of the body or to improve general strength, function and balance.
